2025-26 High School Social Studies Teacher

Ouray School is seeking a new, full-time social studies teacher for the high school. The position covers the range of social studies and history instruction to meet the needs of a small high school program, grades 9-12. The teacher creates lesson plans, establishes tier-one classroom management strategies, and creates a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program. This position collaborates strongly with the other members of the high school team.

Applicants should have a secondary license with an endorsement in social studies or plan to obtain one in an acceptable amount of time. Candidates with a masters in history or multiple endorsements are preferred.

The position comes with full health and dental plans, paid medical and discretionary leave, and the district's contribution to the PERA retirement program.
