Ouray School is a national SAT test site on October 4, 2025. This is an additional opportunity for Ouray students. Registration deadline is September 19, and the cost is $68. See the College Board website to register and find out more about fee waivers.

Student presentations of Learning are a unique opportunity for parents to join staff to hear from students about what they are learning. This fall's Presentations of Learning will take place on Thursday, October 23, from 8AM to 8PM. Learn more about what to expect.

Ouray School will using Xello for three primary purposes. First, students will meet their Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) requirements in order to develop their postsecondary plan. Second, students will use Xello as a Porfolio Tool. The Portfolio will align with the district's Portrait of a Learner and objectives addressed during Presentations of Learning. Finally, high school students (and parents!) will have access to a database of local, regional, state, and national scholarships to help them plan their needs after high school.

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the Colorado Western Slope College Fair in Aspen will connect students and families with 250+ colleges and 30+ career & tech programs, and offer 35+ skill-building workshops. It is a unique, high-impact, one-day opportunity for your school community. Ouray School plans to take a bus to support access to the fair, but students are required to register on the website.

Ouray School is participating in the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey this fall! Every two years, middle and high school students across Colorado take the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey. The anonymous survey covers important topics like mental health, relationships, safety, and substance use. The survey is anonymous and voluntary, and the results help schools and communities support students with data-driven decision making.
