Did you know that October is National Fire Safety Month? Each month Ouray school conducts a fire drill to practice how to evacuate the building in case of a fire. This month we wanted to combine our monthly drill with activities to bring awareness to fire safety. So, in conjunction with Ouray school, the Ouray Fire Department brought fire trucks to our school, and dressed in fire gear, and met with our PreK - 4th students. Each class had the opportunity to ask questions and talk with a firefighter and climb into the fire trucks.
We were able to capture a few photos of the event. Keep an eye out on social media for more photos. I was also able to get a photo of two recent Ouray alumni, Max and Sam. Ouray school and our staff is super proud of you guys!!!
