Ouray High School Covid Case

Dear high school families,

I am writing to notify parents that a student in the high school has tested positive for COVID-19. Ouray High School staff and students are 95% vaccinated, and no students will have to quarantine from a typical classroom exposure. For athletic events and travel that are not typical exposures, unvaccinated staff and students have been contacted and quarantined. Please monitor your student over the next 5-7 days for illness or symptoms. If symptoms arise, please keep your student home and get a COVID test if they persist beyond 48 hours.

COVID is in our community and Ouray School continues to operate with a layered approach to safety measures so that students can stay in school with limited disruptions.

If you have any questions please contact the school and speak with school nurse Tony Disser or administration.

My best,

Tod Lokey
High School Principal | Superintendent
