New Test to Stay Program

Ouray School is participating in the CDE Test to Stay program that allows exposed staff and students to stay in school after a typical classroom exposure when they commit to temporary COVID-19 testing provided by the school as well as wear a well-fitting mask around others for 10 days.

When opting into the Test to Stay program, participants agree to the following requirements that allow them to remain in school.

• Monitor for symptoms daily for a full 10 days after exposure
• Test twice using the Abbott BinaxNOW test kit provided by the school
• Once upon notification of close contact/exposure, and
• Again 5-7 days after the close contact with a person with COVID-19
• Continue to remain asymptomatic and test negative
• Report testing results as instructed using the Abbot Navica App (available in your app store)
• Wear a well-fitting mask correctly around others for 10 days
• If symptoms develop or you test positive, stay home and follow isolation instructions
