The data conversion and major setup of the new student information system, called Alma, is now complete. The primary reasons for the transition include the following.
- Consistent and improved user experience for staff, students, and parents
- Efficient communication to families and other teachers on a student's schedule
- Student and parent access to transcripts and other reports
- Improved data reporting, including attendance and integration with other systems
- Multi-language interface
Spring Plan. This spring, we will bring staff, students, and parents into our system as we work towards the 2022-23 school year.
- Student Course Requests. Next year's high school grade levels will be invited next week to log in for the first time. Students will set up single-sign-on with their Google account and complete a grade-specific course request form. Course requests will be used to build schedules for the entire year.
- Staff Introduction. Staff will have the ability to log in and view student contact information. As this is a major struggle in our current system, we want all teachers to know that connecting with parents is a priority.
- Parent Pre-registration. In May, parents will be invited to log into the system and complete a pre-registration form for the 2022-23 school year. This opportunity will allow parents to update contact information, including emergency contacts, and choose communication preferences.
Links for our new system have already been created for staff and students on our website and will be available for parents when we are ready for pre-registration.
