Ouray School will start each week with announcements to engage the entire school community. Student leadership groups from the high school and middle school will make the announcements from various classrooms with the help of our younger students. We hope that this will increase school spirit and awareness of school events. For this week, the announcements will kick off our Homecoming Week of activities.
Each week, the school will start with a PA announcement that covers the following.
- Trojan welcome
- Pledge of Allegiance*
- Announcements for the entire school
- Riddle or fact of the day
* Students and staff have covered the fact that everyone has the right to choose to participate or not in the Pledge of Allegiance, and it is every citizen's expectation to respect the rights of others to choose.
