Middle school students (5th-8th) will be taking a field trip to the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction on Thursday, November 16th. This is an outdoor experiential trip led by our teachers and park rangers. The students will be:
- Hike part of Serpents Trail and back
- Use a geologic map to complete a stratigraphic column of the Monument
- Explore part of a canyon to collect evidence of local environmental change across geologic time
- Play a standing game to learn and remember geologic principles
We are excited to provide this learning experience for our students.
