Hello, Ouray School and Community!
I’m excited to be Ouray School’s Athletic Director and Head Boys Basketball Coach. Sports were introduced to me at 3 years old and have helped shape me into the person I am today. My love of basketball followed me into college where I was a 4 year letter winner at the University of Southern Indiana. I went into education and coaching because I wanted to share my passion for movement with the next generation. It has been an amazing 17 years of teaching Physical Education to students of all ages, while coaching Volleyball, Basketball, and Track.
To keep my competitive spirit alive as an adult, I have become addicted to long distance running and here recently to trail running. I have completed 17 road marathons, 1 trail marathon, and my first ultra trail marathon in February.
I am happily married to my husband, George, and we have a 5 year old GSP named Roscoe, who is spoiled rotten. Our family fell in love with Ouray when we visited in 2020 and have been back every summer since. Ouray allows us to do many things we love; running, hiking, camping, biking, and exploring the mountains in our Jeep. We are excited to become permanent members of the community and to build strong relationships with each one of you.
