On October 28, 2026, Ouray 8th grade students will participate in the PSAT 8. Ouray School uses this test as a high school readiness exam and an introduction to the PSAT/SAT suite of tests used by the Colorado Department of Education for high school students.

Juniors will participate in the PSAT/NMSQT on October 27. This tests qualifies students for the National Merit Scholarship program.

Ouray juniors and select seniors will take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) on November 4, 2026. This test is not like other tests that Ouray students have taken as it is an employment test designed to measure skills and problem solving skills students may need on the job. It is also a way for students to meet Colorado's academic competency measures required for graduation.
