Ouray School will be collaborating with the Ouray Police and Sherriff Departments in a school lockdown drill on Wednesday, November 12. The drill will be pre-announced and coached, and there will be no active shooter scenarios. Read more to learn about the school's Standard Response Protocol and school safety.

As a part of continuous improvment, we invite families to complete the biennial school climate survey by October 31. Your anonymous feedback is important to us. We are using a single tool that supports families with students across all grade levels to give feedback on teaching and learning, school safety, interpersonal relationships, school environment, and parent involvement.

Ouray juniors and seniors will take the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) on November 4, 2025. This test is not like other tests that Ouray students have taken as it is an employment test designed to measure skills and problem solving skills students may need on the job. It is also a way for students to meet Colorados acacemic competency measures required for graduation.
