About MTSS

In Colorado, a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is defined as: a prevention-based framework of team-driven data-based problem solving for improving the outcomes of every student through family, school, and community partnering and a layered continuum of evidence-based practices
applied at the classroom, school, district, region, and state level.

Ouray School District received the 2016-2021 State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG). This grant project allows our district to develop an integrated MTSS framework of evidence-based practices to improve academic and behavioral outcomes for all students. A team of teachers, administrators, staff, and parents are working together to set, make, and reach a variety of goals suitable for our schools. The three areas in which we are focusing are (1) Family, School, and Community Partnering (2) Data-Based Problem Solving and Decision-Making and (3) Team-Driven Shared Leadership.

We will be using this website to update the community on what our goals are, our action steps to meeting them, and the results.
