Board of Education

The Ouray School District R-1 Board of Education is comprised of five members who each serve four-year terms. Typically, biennial elections will alternate between two and three open seats unless there is an additional seat vacancy. The only time that there are two-year terms is to regain the balance of a 2:3 open seat balance in biennial elections. Members are all at-large and serve the entire school district boundaries. All members are restricted to two consecutive four-year terms.
