Wednesdays-  Oct 27, Nov 3, Nov 10 - 4 to 6 pm

Location -  Ouray School Abrahms Performing Arts Center (APAC)

Transportation from Ridgway Secondary School provided via Voyager van


Pandemic precautions - masks required 

Because of close practice work in pairs, students are encouraged to sign up with someone they feel safe with while physically practicing techniques.


The intent of the sessions is to provide participants an understanding of the following principles.

  • Situational awareness and safe decision making skills
  • Basic balance techniques and mindset
  • Physical skills to avoid and defend from attacks
  • Build confidence prevent the escalation of violence

The physical component of the training is designed for the average person and will require parental permission.  



Class Size - 10-12 high-school-age youth 

Open to LGBTQ+ and Racial Minority youth and Allies referred by other attendees
