Ouray County's current position in the pandemic is now safe enough to allow everyone to engage with the school and make their own choice about masking. Teachers and staff will not be involved in implementing individual family choices. Staff and students are asked to continue their vigilance in staying home when ill and contacting the school nurse for advice when needed.
Everyone has the right to take additional protective measures for themselves. We applaud and encourage those that have upcoming school travel or personal family situations where they will choose to continue masking. We ask that everyone supports one another and student choices. Administrators and counselors will be working with some of our students with honoring each others’ choices during this transition.
