I want to welcome our new ELCO families and welcome back those returning. We are excited and gearing up for another great year in pre-school. I know that Ms. Patty Ray has connected with many of you already and she is excited to serve as our new director and lead teacher. Ms. Meda will be a kind, familiar face back in our pre-school program this year and we are excited to welcome Ms. Storme Lowery as an instructional aide helping out in the classroom.
We would like to invite you to attend the Ouray School Open House on August 25th to see the classroom and meet your teachers. I want to remind all ELCO families that our pre-school staff will be reaching out soon to schedule home visits the week of August 29th - September 2nd. Home visits are use to connect with families in their home environment, to build school/community outreach, and make the transition to school smooth. The first day of pre-school will be September 6th and will follow the district calendar for the remainder of school year.
I am hoping everyone's summer break was safe, fun, and eventful. We look forward to seeing everyone really soon.
