Ouray Middle School is excited to welcome a seasoned and passionate educator to the team this fall. With 25 years of experience in the classroom, Josh Fix brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and a deep commitment to helping students succeed.
Originally from Iowa, Mr. Fix describes himself as a lifelong learner who is always seeking new ways to grow professionally and personally. This will be Mr. Fix's 25th year as an educator and is still excited every day about being in the classroom with students, sharing his passion about meeting students where they are and helping them discover a love for learning.”
Known for blending academics with real-world experiences, Fix enjoys bringing the outdoors into the classroom—and the classroom into the outdoors. In his free time, Mr. Fix can often be found hiking, exploring, or simply soaking in the natural beauty around them.
Joining a close-knit community was a major draw for the veteran teacher. Ouray has that small town feeling that Josh is looking for and wants to be a part of. Mr. Fix has jumped right into our community. You may have seen him at the first concert in the park show last Thursday.
Fix’s passion, experience, and student-centered approach are sure to make a lasting impact at Ouray Middle School and in the wider school community.
