What to Expect from Spring Presentations of Learning

Ouray School welcomes families into the building for face-to-face Presentations of Learning twice a year. These times are reserved for parents and teachers to meet with students to hear about what they are learning, how they are navigating school, and what their current challenges are. If parents have a specific concern, they are encouraged to connect with staff and set up a time to connect on those topics outside of these Presentations of Learning.

Thanks to parents for feedback from previous Presentations of Learning. This spring, all age groups will have time for parents to connect directly with teachers for questions or concerns.

Formats

Each school team will have their own format that includes the student.
  • Elementary - Teachers will host  presentations of learning (K-4) to look at student work, data, and goals. Session times this spring will support time for parents to connect directly with the teacher.
  • Middle School - Students will meet with their Clan Teacher and present a portfolio of work and reflect on character traits. 25 minute sessions.
  • High School - Staff will meet with students by advisor for appointments at the top of each hour. There is a presentation outline for students to follow with choices for what to share on academics and community. The bottom half of the hour is reserved for visits to other teachers on the student's schedule.
  • Enrichment - Please join our most dynamic group to connect and talk about enrichment courses and projects. They have specific content for students to talk about.
